A California man used a Warwick Township resident’s Social Security number to secure a loan of more than $70,000 to buy a Corvette.
Northern Lancaster County Regional police charged Robert Christopher Seminara, 50, of Los Angeles, with identity theft and device fraud. He is in Lancaster County Prison after being unable to post his $65,000 bail.
The Warwick Township resident, who said he didn’t know Seminara and declined further comment, contacted police on Feb. 13 to report a possible fraud after receiving an auto loan bill, according to charging documents. The loan was for a 2021 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray purchased in Fontana, California, between October and December 2025.
A fraud investigator at JP Morgan Chase told police Seminara provided the Warwick Township resident’s Social Security number to secure the loan, which had a balance of $74,871 on Dec. 1, 2025.
Seminara was charged in February and was arrested April 4 after being extradited to Lancaster County, police said Tuesday. He waived his charges at his preliminary hearing Tuesday afternoon and will have his case decided in county court.
His formal arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 8.
