BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A person is dead after being hospitalized with major injuries from an incident in downtown Bakersfield.
Bakersfield police officers were called to the 400 block of 20th Street Tuesday night, at about 10:50 p.m., for reports of a person with major injuries. One adult was suffering from significant injuries when officers arrived on scene, according to officials.
The person was taken to the hospital where they later died.
Detectives with the Bakersfield Police Department Homicide Unit were called to the seen due to suspicious circumstances.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office will release The identity of the person will be released at a later date by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
