Want to Cut Soaring Energy Costs? Emulate China, Says Rep. Jim Costa

GV Wire Publisher Darius Assemi interviewed Rep. Jim Costa (D-Fresno) on Wednesday morning about rising energy costs, including gas and diesel, and the economic harm to Americans.

Costa said that he doesn’t see oil prices dropping anytime soon, even with the ceasefire in Iran, thus keeping gas, groceries, and other household expenses high.

To achieve significant reductions, Costa said, the U.S. must move away from an overreliance on fossil fuels and use all energy sources. He pointed to China as an example of a country that is rapidly expanding its energy portfolio.
