Firefighters battle Taft Fire in south Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Firefighters are battling the Taft Fire in south Bakersfield Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was reported at about 3:20 p.m. in the area of South Union Avenue and Taft Highway.

Officials with the Bakersfield Fire Department said the fire is approximately three acres in size and is close to structures.

Fire officials called this fire the “Taft Fire.”
