Starting in April, Alaska Airlines will begin flying nonstop from Oakland Airport to San Diego, officials said.

Nonstop flights to San Diego and Carlsbad from Oakland are already offered through Southwest Airlines.

But the addition of four new non-stop flights will provide a more flexible, convenient and efficient way to “connect between two of California’s most vibrant coastal cities,” according to Port of Oakland officials. Service for these flights will begin on April 22, 2026.

Port of Oakland Public Information Officer Kaley Skantz told Patch that the flights will be available round-trip and the schedule will be as follows:

To San Diego

Depart OAK 6:30 a.m., arrive SAN 8:06 a.m.Depart OAK 10:45 a.m., arrive SAN 12:21 p.m.Depart OAK 3:30 p.m., arrive SAN 5:07 p.m.Depart OAK 7:10 p.m., arrive SAN 8:47 p.m.

“We’re excited to grow in Oakland with the addition of four daily, year-round flights to San Diego – offering an additional way to connect our guests in the vibrant Bay Area with dynamic Southern California,” said Kirsten Amrine, Vice President of Revenue Management and Network Planning at Alaska Airlines.

Alaska Airlines also offers nonstop flights from Oakland to Seattle and Portland.
