BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Ahead of his retirement, Bakersfield Police Chief Greg Terry sat down one more time with 17 News at Sunrise to reflect on his career.
Chief Terry is retiring at the end of April and took time on Wednesday to discuss what his career meant to him and what he expects in retirement.
“It was a job that I always knew I wanted to do,” said Chief Terry. “Over time, you really come to learn what protect and serve means. You come do understand how you do your work is important as what you do. After 35 years, those are some of the things I think about.”
