All eastbound lanes of the Caldecott Tunnel reopened Thursday afternoon, about two hours after a collision shut down lanes and backed up traffic into Oakland.

As of 3:25 p.m., all lanes of Bore 2 had reopened, according to the California Highway Patrol, but traffic was still snarled in the eastbound direction.

The crash in Bore 2 was reported about 1:30 p.m., and both Bore 2 and Bore 3 were subsequently closed to traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.

About 2:30 pm., the CHP said on social media that Bore 3 had reopened.

Information about injuries in the collision wasn’t available.
