BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Highway Patrol said an incident involving law enforcement has closed a portion of Highway 58 on Friday night.
CHP in Bakersfield said all eastbound lanes of Highway 58 are closed at Weedpatch Highway and westbound lanes are closed at Edison Road. There was no estimate for opening as of 6:50 p.m., CHP said in a social media post.
CHP did not provide further details of the incident. 17 News has reached out to law enforcement for more information.
A collision was reported in the area at around 6:15 p.m. It is unclear if it is related to the police activity.
