On the mound, Shane McAlinden set the tone with a strong start, tossing six innings while allowing just two hits and one run. He struck out six to earn his third win of the season. Brock Adamson and Ethan Myers combined to finish the final three innings, with Myers closing the game with two scoreless frames.
UC Davis (15-18, 7-11 Big West) managed just four hits on the day. Joey Wright accounted for both RBIs, while Ryan Lee scored both runs for the Aggies.
After UC Davis scored single runs in the second and seventh innings, the Roadrunners’ pitching staff shut the door, holding the Aggies scoreless over the final two frames to secure the win.
CSUB’s early offensive explosion and steady pitching proved to be the difference.
