San Diego based Qualcomm has announced it will lay off 66 local employees.

The majority of the layoffs will be in engineering, cybersecurity and I.T. Positions in marketing, customer service and management will also be cut.

The layoffs will impact employees at 11 San Diego facilities, including the company headquarters reports the Union-Tribune.

The Fortune 500 company went through a previous round of layoffs nearly two years ago, saying it was part of its diversification strategy for the business.

Layoffs will begin at the end of next month.
