Fresno Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 26-24, 25-17, 25-13.

Fresno Christian’s win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tatum Mcquown, who had 24 assists and ten digs. Mcquown has been hot, having posted 14 or more assists the last five times she’s played. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle Arndt, who had 15 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Arvin made easy work of Mira Monte on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Arvin never let Mira Monte on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-17, 25-23.

Fresno Christian better keep an eye on Kayleene Pantoja. She was instrumental in Arvin’s win, getting 17 digs and two assists.

Arvin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they’ve now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive matchups.

Fresno Christian’s victory bumped their record up to 23-18. As for Arvin, their win bumped their record up to 26-8-3.
