A man was fatally wounded in Long Beach, authorities said Sunday, April 12.
Officers responding to a report of a shooting at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday in the 6600 block of Cherry Avenue located a man with a gunshot wound to the upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
The suspect fled the location prior to the arrival of police.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
There was no other immediate information.
