SAN FRANCISCO — A hit-and-run Sunday evening in San Francisco killed a pedestrian and the department has a suspect in custody.
At 6:44 p.m., officers were sent to the 1800 block of Ocean Avenue between Ashton and Jules avenues on a report of a hit-and-run collision.
According to police, officers arrived and found a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries who was ultimately declared deceased at the scene.
The San Francisco Fire Department told ABC7 News, the pedestrian was an elderly woman.
Investigators found a possible suspect near the 500 block of Shield Street and arrested them.
SFFD said on Monday, a 47-year-old man has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, DUI and Hit and Run.
