San Francisco’s twice-a-year Restaurant Week is back. It’s a promotion that encourages Bay Area food lovers to return to the city to discover new places and revisit old favorites.

More than 200 restaurant locations — including 16 newcomers to the event — are participating in the springtime promotion sponsored by the Golden Gate Restaurant Association. Meal deals run through Sunday, April 19.

Lunch/brunch are offered at the $10, $15, $25, $35 or $45 levels and three-course dinners are priced at $30, $45, $60, $75 or $90.

At least 70 restaurants are offering dinners at the $45 price point or less, according to Amy Cleary of the GGRA.

Restaurants on the website are categorized by cuisine and neighborhood, allowing diners to search for deals from Bayview to the Marina to West Portal.

Here’s a sampling of menus:

A16 (Marina): Both the $45 and $75 menus begin with antipasto salads and vegetables and end with a homemade ricotta cannolo with orange and pistachio. At lunch, select from pasta or pizza; at dinner the main course is lamb chops.
