The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s annual gala is back, and so is the fundraiser’s dance-all-night afterparty.
If you’re looking for a night of elegant fun, Late Night offers a chance to party among masterpieces while supporting the exhibitions, programming and other artistic initiatives of the de Young and Legion of Honor
Late Night begins at 9 p.m. Thursday, April 16, following the gala dinner honoring British artist and environmentalist Andy Goldsworthy. It’s at this time that the de Young’s Wilsey Court turned into a dance floor with DJ sets amid an immersive installation created by Oakland-based artist Soleé Darrell.
The night’s headliner will be singer-songwriter UMI, whose bedroom R&B gained mainstream attention in 2018 with her viral single “Remember Me.” She’s currently on tour in support of her second studio album “People Stories,” which was released in August 2025.
A Late Night ticket also provides admission to the exhibitions “Monet and Venice,” “Boom and Bust: Photographing Northern California,” “Rose B. Simpson: LEXICON,” “Leilah Babirye: We Have a History” and “The McCoy Jones Collection: Textiles from Central Asia and the Middle East.”
