Authorities have publicly identified a married couple who lost their lives last week to a traffic crash in their hometown of Escondido.
David Weatherford, 80, and his 79-year-old wife, Connie Weatherford, were fatally injured shortly before 1 p.m. last Tuesday. The sedan that Connie Weatherford was driving collided with another vehicle on Citracado Parkway, just southwest of Interstate 15 and state Route 78, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
Paramedics took the couple to Palomar Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead — the husband shortly after arrival, and Connie Weatherford the following afternoon.
