Another Nittany Lion will skate on professional ice.
Jarod Crespo has signed an Amateur Tryout Agreement with the San Jose Barracuda, the AHL affiliate of the top-flight San Jose Sharks.
The 6-foot defenseman skated in 37 games during Penn State’s 2025-2026 campaign, scoring five goals and notching 12 assists. Throughout his career with the blue and white, he appeared in 141 games, recording 42 points over four seasons.
Crespo, a Seven Lakes, North Carolina, native, will join Aiden Fink, Carter Schade, Charlie Cerrato, Matt DiMarsico and Kevin Reidler as Nittany Lions to sign a pro deal in recent weeks.
The Amateur Tryout Agreement allows Crespo to appear in AHL games for the Barracuda without losing his amateur status.
