South Pasadena’s City Council will convene on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, for a series of meetings starting at 5:00 PM at the Amedee O. “Dick” Richards Jr. Council Chambers. Residents are invited to learn about major street upgrades, celebrate environmental proclamations, and engage with routine city business.
Meeting Schedule & Details
• 5:00 PM: The evening begins with a Closed Session covering existing litigation, anticipated litigation, and real property negotiations.
• 6:00 PM: A Study Session will follow, focusing exclusively on the Huntington Drive and Fremont Avenue Corridor Improvements Project.
• 7:00 PM: The Regular City Council Meeting will commence to address public comments, community proclamations, and standard agenda items.
Program Highlights
During the 6:00 PM Study Session, Public Works staff will present community feedback and design alternatives for the Huntington Drive and Fremont Avenue Corridor. This project is a major component of the City’s multi-year capital improvement plan for local streets.
At the 7:00 PM Regular Meeting, the Council will present several community proclamations. These presentations will officially recognize Earth Day, Arbor Day, Denim Day, Library Volunteer Recognition Day, and California Mosquito Awareness Week in South Pasadena.
Other notable items on the regular agenda include:
• A progress report for the 2025 General Plan Housing Element.
• An extension of security guard services for the South Pasadena Public Library through May 2026.
• Awarding a construction contract for fencing replacement at the Arroyo Seco Golf Course 13th Hole.
