Multiple suspects detained after stabbing in South Sacramento, police say

(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento Police Department detained multiple suspects Thursday after a stabbing and attack in South Sacramento.

SPD said officers responded to reports of a stabbing around 10:45 a.m. in the 40 block of Coral Gables Court. Police arrived to see two suspects flee and at least one was seen with a gun.

According to officers, a man was stabbed and is in critical condition but is expected to be OK. A woman was pistol-whipped and is currently stable.

Police detained one suspect and set up a perimeter at nearby apartments to search for a second suspect. Police confirmed jsut after 1 p.m. that all suspects have been detained.

SPD said preliminary information leads them to believe that the man who was stabbed was with the suspects before they pistol-whipped the woman and fled.
