As late October rolls in, the city starts to shift. Streetlights glow a little softer, shop windows fill with pumpkins and cobwebs, and suddenly even the busiest neighborhoods feel like something straight out of a spooky indie film!
Halloween in town it’s a total vibe, and now the numbers back it up: WalletHub just ranked Los Angeles the third-best city in the U.S. to celebrate Halloween in 2025. The study looked at 100 of the largest cities across the country, factoring in metrics such as trick-or-treater-friendliness, Halloween fun and weather.

For families, L.A. offers plenty of walkable neighborhoods for trick-or-treating. On the other hand, Its high population density and strong walkability score make it easy for kids to roam safely from house to house while racking up a legendary candy haul.
Teens and young adults aren’t left out, as L.A. boasts the 10th-most amusement parks per capita and movie theaters everywhere, perfect for keeping the Halloween energy going beyond the candy bucket.
And last but not least, the study states that adults looking for a real scare will not be disappointed, as the city ranks sixth in the nation for haunted houses per capita, offering everything from immersive pop-up experiences to haunted houses…
