A 36-year-old Long Beach man has been arrested in connection with two sexual assaults, and investigators believe there may be additional, unreported victims.

Last month, a woman reported an alleged sexual assault to investigators with the Long Beach Police Department involving Victor Carlos Flores. During the investigation, authorities identified a second victim who they say was sexually assaulted by Flores in August 2018.

“During both incidents, the suspect sexually assaulted the women while he was working as a massage therapist at a business located at 927 East Broadway,” Long Beach police officials said in a news release.

On April 16, police arrested Flores in Long Beach and booked him into the Long Beach City Jail on suspicion of felony sexual assault, oral copulation, sexual penetration and failure to update his address as required under sexual offender registrant laws. He is being held without bail.

In addition to Flores’ arrest, police cited the spa for allowing an unlicensed employee to perform services requiring a professional license.

Investigations into sexual assault cases can sometimes help authorities identify additional victims and suspects. In Los Angeles, genetic testing from a child sexual abuse case reported last year recently led investigators to identify a suspect in a nearly three-decade-old unsolved rape in Koreatown. The victim in that 1997 case was 14 years old at the time of the assault.

Long Beach investigators believe Flores may have additional, unreported victims and are asking anyone with information to contact LBPD’s non-emergency dispatch at 562-435-6711.
