Re “Supporters and opponents of San Diego tax on second homes submit ballot arguments as campaign fight gears up” (March 11): How exactly will the city determine which homes are vacant for more than 182 days if voters approve this ballot measure? This would be difficult enough with a competent city government.

If it fails, our current leaders would likely blame greedy corporations, then raise fees on everything in the city to cover the lost revenue they were counting on. Can we please get new leadership?
