Three people have been arrested by San Francisco police in relation to the shooting death of a man by Fisherman’s Wharf this summer, the department said Monday.

The case stems from a fatal shooting by Vandewater and Powell streets on July 3 that killed a man. Initially the victim was found alive and transported to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on July 8.

Investigators identified several suspects in the case, one of which died last month. The other three have been arrested.

Oakland residents Jeremiah Neal, 19, and Elijah Silver, 20, were taken into custody on Friday after an SFPD tactical SWAT team served a search warrant at their residence in the 2500 block of Wallace Street in Oakland.

On that same day, more tactical units served a search warrant in San Francisco in the 600 block of Francisco Street and arrested Jesus Gabriel Cendejas, 22. Investigators also allegedly found a firearm at the residence.

All three men have been booked into jail on suspicion of homicide. The fourth suspect believed to be involved in the July homicide was himself the victim of a homicide in San Francisco in September, according to police.

While arrests have been made, this remains an open and active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at (415) 575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
