The man has been ID’d by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office as 40-year-old Lee Nielson. His city of residence was not listed in the report.
The medical examiner also deferred listing his cause of death, but the Long Beach Police Department said that the body showed no signs of foul play.
Nielson’s body washed ashore on Alamitos Beach around 11:30 am Tuesday.
