Oakland Schools is seeking people interested in filling the vacant position on the Oak Park board of education.

The vacant position will be filled until the November 3 election is certified.

Those interested must submit a letter of interest no later than 4 p.m. Friday, April 24.

Applicants must live and be a registered voter in the Oak Park school district; be at least 18 years of old; a U.S. citizen; and a Michigan resident for at least 30 days.

The board for the Oakland Schools will meet at 5:15 p.m., April 29, to review candidates and schedule interviews.

On Tuesday, May 5, Oakland Schools board members will interview candidates and vote to fill the vacancy.
