BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — It’s looking like a warm one this weekend. Atmospherically, a ridge of high pressure will get comfortable over the Western US for temperatures that will be quite comfortable if you like the 80s across parts of Kern County!
The warmth could build even more for Sunday, with South Valley highs in the mid to upper 80s, making it potentially the warmest day of this warm stretch.
This is also a great reminder to submit your guess as to when Bakersfield will reach even hotter through our Hot Times Contest. The contestant who correctly predicts the date and time that Meadows Field will get to 100 degrees for the first time this year could win a $1000, and who couldn’t use some of that nowadays? Click here and get your guess in while you still can!
Have a wonderful weekend!
