BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Three men are scheduled to appear in court next week for an arraignment in connection with the murder of 19-year-old Nayeli Carrillo Gonzalez in Delano in January 2020.
Kevin Gonzalez, Jonathan Gutierrez, and Alexander Carrillo were present in court on Oct. 13 for a preliminary examination, where it was decided they would stand trial.

The incident occurred on Jan. 2, 2020, when Delano police responded to reports of a shooting at Cesar Chavez Park. Officers found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds. The man was hospitalized and treated for his injuries, while the woman, identified as Nayeli, died at the scene.
After a two-year investigation, detectives announced on March 22, 2022, the arrests of three suspects. Kevin Gonzalez, then 18, was arrested on March 5 for alleged homicide. Subsequently, Jonathan Gutierrez, 21, and Alexander Carrillo, 18, were also taken into custody and face homicide charges.
Gonzalez, Gutierrez, and Carrillo are due in court on Oct. 22, 2025.
