Rosman Verdugo hit his second homer and both Verdugo and Alex McCoy drove in two runs in high Single-A Fort Wayne’s 16-9 loss at Lake County on Saturday.
Verdugo (.612 OPS) walked, collected two hits and scored three runs.
McCoy (.990 OPS) doubled twice.
Jake Cunningham (1.038 OPS) went 2-for-4, while Jack Costello (.717 OPS), Kasen Wells (.752 OPS) and Lamar King Jr. (.638 OPS) all had doubles.
McCoy swiped his second base.
Left-hander Jamie Hitt (8.53 ERA) allowed six runs on five hits and two walks in 2⅓ innings in the start.
Right-hander Clark Candiotti (1-1, 8.10 ERA) allowed three runs in 1⅓ innings in the loss.
Fort Wayne is 5-9.

Stockton 10, Storm 1: RHP Tyler Schmitt (0-2, 10.00 ERA) allowed seven runs in three innings in the start to take the loss. SS Jorge Quintana (.457 OPS) and C Yoiber Ocopio (.375 OPS) each had a double.
Note: Triple-A El Paso was tied 1-1 at Round Rock in the top of the third inning when the game was suspended due to inclement weather. The game will be resumed on June 11.
