The Redwood City Police Department is warning residents to remain vigilant after reports of “aggressive” coyotes in the Redwood Shores area.
Authorities responded to sightings near the 1000 block of Rockport Avenue at the 900 block of Redwood Shores Parkway, Redwood City police said.
The sighting happened in a residential neighborhood next to a dog park, tidal marsh and wildlife refuge area.
Officials are urging the community to exercise caution and stay at a safe distance and keep pets indoors to prevent encounters with the coyotes.
Anyone who spots coyotes in the area is encouraged to contact animal control at 650-340-8200 or the police at 650-780-7118.
