1 dead after struck by train in east Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man is dead after being struck by a train in east Bakersfield Monday night.

Just before 9 p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to James and Q streets for the report of a male pedestrian suffering injuries after being struck by a train, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

Medical personnel at the scene pronounced him dead, according to BPD.
