Four youth were taken into custody near Mills College in a vehicle taken in a carjacking, Oakland police said Tuesday.
Two loaded firearms equipped with devices that converted them to fully automatic weapons were found with the juveniles, police said.
A preliminary investigation linked the four to armed robberies and a pistol-whipping incident in East Oakland late Sunday and early Monday, police said.
The stolen vehicle was located in the area of Kingsland Place and Morcom Avenue, where the juveniles exited and ran.
After a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested two youths from Oakland, one from Hayward, and one from Richmond, police said.
