On a personal note, cool to see MLB with some charitable outreach to the Pasadena Fire Department. That department was taxed hard by the Eaton Fire, which consumed large swaths of neighboring Altadena (my hometown) in January.

That’s not to be confused with the concurrent Palisades fire which nearly leveled Pacific Palisades, Calif., the hometown of Blue Jays backup catcher Tyler Heineman.

The Dodgers have been active in pledging funds and resources to rebuild both communities, a process still very much ongoing nearly 10 months later.
