LONG BEACH, NY — The Long Beach Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle collision with an overturned vehicle this morning.
The department received a report at 10:53 a.m. of a motor vehicle collision at National Boulevard and West Chester Street.
Upon arrival, firefighters found two vehicles involved in the collision, with one car overturned.
Both occupants of the overturned vehicle self-extricated before emergency responders arrived.
The two occupants from the overturned vehicle were transported to Mount Sinai South Nassau in stable condition.
The other driver was evaluated at the scene and refused transport to a hospital.
Units on scene included Ambulance 2322, Ambulance 2321, Engine 2343 and Tower Ladder 2372.
All operations were under the command of Assistant Chief Hadrick Ray.
During the incident, three other EMS calls were handled by Mount Sinai South Nassau Ambulance 2325, Atlantic Beach Rescue Ambulance 369 and Nassau County Police Department Ambulance 2394.
