Besides the Hollywood sign, its sprawling beaches, and its reputation as a celebrity hotspot, Los Angeles is famous for being a true cultural melting pot. And one of the clearest expressions of that is its vibrant, ever-growing food scene.

As a celebration of the city’s identity, Mama’s Night Market was born. In its 2026 edition, the event brings together a lineup of more than 20 restaurants, showcasing flavors from Peru, Thailand, Nigeria, France, Morocco, and many more.

Beyond the food, the event turns into a full cultural playground with karaoke sessions, dance parties, streetwear pop-ups, and even futbol-inspired energy woven into the experience. The soundtrack is just as curated, featuring sets and performances from artists like Toro y Moi, Olea, Passionfruit.wav, DJ Prepare, and Quinn Blake.

The event will take place this Sunday, April 26, at the historic City Market in DTLA, with tickets available through Mama’s website.

About Mama’s Night Market

MAMA’s Night Market was born from a simple but powerful idea: to bring L.A.s’ immigrant food culture into the spotlight. Inspired by the night markets of Asia, creator Jared Jue set out to build a space where food becomes the most universal language.

What started as an idea quickly turned into a platform to highlight immigrant-owned restaurants that often define the city’s everyday culinary landscape. The event found its home in a historic parking lot in the Fashion District, once part of the early City Market established by immigrant communities in the early 20th century.
