Police are investigating whether two burglaries involving vehicles driving into businesses Wednesday morning are connected, the Sacramento Police Department said.One location is at a dual Togo’s Sandwiches-Baskin-Robbins on Meadowview Road off Freeport Boulevard. Police said a ringing alarm went off just before 4:30 a.m.A KCRA 3 crew observed the front door of the business smashed through, and broken glass scattered around the area. The owner told reporter Mike TeSelle that he had never experienced an issue such as this in the four to five years he has been operating there.At 3:45 a.m., police said officers went to a business in the 7100 block of 24th Street, just north of Florin Road, for reports of a vehicle smashing through the door. Damage was visible at a Wayne’s Wok Chinese restaurant.Police said at this time, it is unknown if these burglaries were done using the same vehicle. Details were also not released on how much was taken from both businesses.The businesses are about 1.5 miles from each other.See news happening?
