(KRON) — A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in San Jose, the San Jose Police Department announced. The collision happened around 4:23 p.m. in the area of the Almaden Expressway and Canoas Garden Avenue intersection.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital, where they later died, SJPD said. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.

There will be road closures in the area for the next “several hours” as authorities investigate the crash. The public is asked to avoid the area.
