The 17-year-old passenger killed in the crash of a speeding Ford Mustang driven by a fellow teenage boy in San Pedro was identified Tuesday
The car was traveling northbound on Harbor Boulevard near 22nd Street at about 11 p.m. Saturday when it struck a power pole, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
He was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as 17-year-old Liam May.
The driver, who suffered minor injuries, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter.
