An 84-year-old man apparently struck his wife with a car by accident, pinning her against a wall while trying to park in Pacific Beach Tuesday morning, San Diego police said.
The man was attempting to park his 2015 Cadillac SRX on Mission Boulevard near Chalcedony Street at 9:45 a.m., police said. His wife, 78, was directing the car into the spot when the driver pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, pinning her to the wall, police said.
She was hospitalized for a fractured femur, police said. The couple was visiting from Arizona.
