A vacant bank building in Sacramento could soon be demolished if the city approves a proposed development for the property. The proposal concerns the old Home Savings and Loan building that sits at the intersection of Arden Way and Exposition Boulevard. The owners have filed plans to demolish it and build three new buildings—two drive-thru restaurants and a 6,000-square-foot retail building. Documents filed with the city of Sacramento show that the developer has leases in the works for the restaurants, but that the retail space has not been marketed. It’s unclear which restaurants may take up the spaces, but the proposal describes one of the new tenants as “primarily a sit-down restaurant with a drive-thru,” with meals served on plates and silverware, and the other as a “higher volume tenant” with a double drive-thru. See the proposal documents here. The project is under review with no decision timeline yet.See more coverage of top California stories here | Download our app | Subscribe to our morning newsletter | Find us on YouTube here and subscribe to our channel
