The self-proclaimed “Scottish Beyoncé” is heading stateside this spring.

Singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi is known for powerful pop ballads that tug at the heartstrings, like his breakout hit “Someone You Loved.” But offstage, Capaldi is also beloved for his goofy, distinctly Scottish sense of humor showcased on social media. From his hilariously candid takes on the entertainment industry to jokingly likening himself to Queen B, the Glasgow native is as much a personality as a pop star.

Capaldi took a break from touring in 2023 after struggling with Tourette syndrome during a Glastonbury performance. Last summer, however, he returned to the stage and later released the five-song EP “Survive.”

Now on a North American headlining tour, which kicked off earlier this month in Philadelphia, Capaldi is scheduled to reach the Bay Area on May 3, for a concert at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley.
