(KRON) — One person has been arrested following a shooting Thursday morning, according to the Oakland Police Department.
The incident happened just after 11 a.m. near 18th and Wood streets. Officers arrived at the scene to discover a person suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite life-saving measures from police and paramedics, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the location.
The victim’s identity is not yet being released.
In a statement to KRON4, OPD said no further details on the case will be provided at this time.
