The fourth annual “Be the Light” fundraiser dedicated to fighting human trafficking in San Diego County brought philanthropists, community leaders and others to The Lot La Jolla on April 23.

Guests could take in the action at casino-style table games, visit vendors, try curated wines and watch live painting. The event also included gourmet appetizers, craft cocktails, live music and guest speakers, including county District Attorney Summer Stephan.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit the nonprofit Bilateral Safety Corridor Coalition’s efforts to prevent trafficking, support survivors and provide education about the issue.
