The San Francisco 49ers selected Carver Willis, the left tackle from Washington. Willis doesn’t fit the 49ers’ typical measurement requirements at tackle. At 6’5”, he’s in the 29th percentile. At 303 pounds, he’s in the 14th percentile. He also has small hands and arm length. So, a guard, perhaps?
During his call with the media, Willis said he’s willing to move inside to guard and could even move to center. That’s noteworthy, as Jake Brendel’s a free agent after the 2026 season.
