(KRON) — San Jose police are telling residents there is no active public safety threat after a man was seen holding a machete in a residential backyard Friday morning.
Police received a report at 7:20 a.m. of a suspicious person with a weapon in the 1400 block of Herald Avenue.
The suspect is described by investigators as a man with a skinny build, in his 30s, with a dark colored backpack and a machete, wearing dark colored clothing.

His whereabouts are not currently known as police continue to investigate the incident.
