SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga Bulldogs lost six players to the transfer portal this year, with Ismaila Diagne entering the day the portal opened. Today, he announced his commitment to San Francisco, staying the WCC.

Diagne, a 7-foot, 273-pound center, played in 28 games this season and made three starts for coach Mark Few and the Zags. He averaged 6.9 minutes, 1.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game while shooting 50% from the field.
Diagne is now the fourth player to find a new home after leaving Gonzaga. Braeden Smith (Notre Dame), Emmanuel Innocenti (Arizona State), and Steele Venters (Washington) have found their next schools while Cade Orness and Joaquim Arauzmoore are yet to commit to their next school.
He totaled 30 points, 67 rebounds (19 offensive, 48 defensive), 16 blocks, four assists and four steals. He finished his sophomore season shooting 12 of 24 from the field and 6 of 15 from the free-throw line. His best performance came in a win over Southern Utah, when he had six points, four rebounds and four blocks.
As a freshman in 2024-25, Diagne played in 10 games and averaged 6.6 minutes, 3.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game.
