2 quakes hit near San Francisco Zoo on Saturday

Two earthquakes struck in the Pacific Ocean near San Francisco on Saturday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey said.A magnitude-3.0 quake hit at 4:39 p.m. about 1.8 miles south-southwest of San Francisco at a depth of 4.3 miles. A magnitude-2.7 quake struck nearby at 4:41 p.m.The quakes were centered southwest of the San Francisco Zoo and San Francisco State University. Two earthquakes struck in the Pacific Ocean near San Francisco on Saturday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

A magnitude-3.0 quake hit at 4:39 p.m. about 1.8 miles south-southwest of San Francisco at a depth of 4.3 miles. A magnitude-2.7 quake struck nearby at 4:41 p.m.

The quakes were centered southwest of the San Francisco Zoo and San Francisco State University.

Weak shaking was reported in the area from the first quake, according to a USGS community intensity map.
