The team behind Santa Monica fine dining destination Muse will open a new restaurant in West Hollywood in summer 2027 in the former Olivetta space on Melrose Avenue. The new project, which will be a new restaurant rather than a second location of Muse, will see chef-owner Fardad Khayami’s brother, Nikdad, at the helm of a pastry program, plus day-to-night operations. The forthcoming restaurant will focus on Provençal cooking and local sourcing and hopes to operate as a bakery during the day and a dinner destination in the evening.
Fardad Khayami launched Muse as a dorm room dinner party with college roommate David Gelland while attending the University of Southern California. Initially called Museum, the pop-up garnered a thousands-long waitlist before finding a permanent home in the former Mason Supper Club space in Santa Monica. Fardad Khayami, who is self-trained, opened Muse’s Santa Monica location in August 2024. The evolving menu offers a distinctly California-French bent with dishes like delicata squash crowned by toasted pistachios and vadouvan, plus branzino paired with tarragon pistou and beurre blanc.

Stolpman Wines at Little Dom’s
Central Coast winery Stolpman Vineyards will join Santa Barbara seafood spot Little Dom’s for a winemaker dinner on April 29. The $125 ticket includes a four-course meal paired with wines from Stolpman. Reserve a seat on Resy.
Porta Via finds a new Beverly Hills home
California bistro Porta Via will reopen in Beverly Hills this summer at the former site of Nusr-Et. Its original Beverly Hills home, just a few blocks away from its new location, was destroyed in a fire in late 2025. Porta Via’s Pacific Palisades location, which has been closed since the Palisades Fire, has been slated to reopen in August 2026.
