Fire trucks, police cars, tractors, semis and more were on display as Long Beach Touch-A-Truck made its return this weekend.
Thousands of people gathered at the Granada Avenue parking lot in Belmont Shore on Sunday, April 26, for the 10th anniversary of the popular interactive event. Hosted by Justin Rudd and his Community Action Team, Touch-A-Truck featured about 100 vehicles kids and adults alike could get up close and personal with – and, of course, touch.

Large trucks, tractors, and military, public safety and construction vehicles were among those on display.
The free event also served as a donation drive. Visitors were asked to bring non-perishable food items, such as a jar of peanut butter or canned tuna, which will be distributed to local food banks, including Christian Outreach in Action and Cal State Long Beach’s Beach Pantry. Rudd and CAT also accepted gently used children’s books for his Riley’s Red Wagon Book Swap, 3040 E. First St.
Touch-A-Truck was also co-sponsored by Councilmember Kristina Duggan, the Port of Long Beach, Edco, American Integrated Services, and Aldridge Electric Inc.
Children and families spent the day taking pictures and climbing into the front seat of vehicles of all shapes, sizes and functions.
