Re “El Cajon weighs speed camera test” (April 27): Thank you, El Cajon. Anyone who drives knows that the number of drivers significantly exceeding the speed limit is out of control. There is not now, nor will there ever be, enough enforcement to change that. And for those who will say that speed cameras are an invasion of their privacy, I will remind them that there is no reasonable expectation of privacy when you are in public spaces. Maybe they will change their belief if their child, parent or other loved one is struck by someone driving 50 mph in the 25 mph zone of their neighborhood.
