The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors has appointed Dr. Phuong Luu as the county’s new health officer. The board approved the hiring of Luu on Tuesday afternoon. Luu has 10 years of experience in the public health field. For the past six years, she has served as the health officer for both Yuba and Sutter counties, guiding both counties through the COVID-19 pandemic. Before that, Luu worked in the Northern Mariana Islands in the Pacific. The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors has appointed Dr. Phuong Luu as the county’s new health officer.
The board approved the hiring of Luu on Tuesday afternoon.
